Capcom has released its earnings report for the first half of the fiscal year 2012. Net sales were up 55.7% compared to last year, bringing in 45,538 million yen (about $570 million), while net income increased to 4,125 million yen, jumping up $355.1% compared to last year. As a result, the sales and income for this 6-month period "broke the record at all levels", topping the previous 6-month best which was in 2001.

Capcom's strong earnings were a result of strong performances by Resident Evil 6 which the company says is "off to a good start", as well as Dragon's Dogma which "enjoyed popularity exceeding expectations in the more profitable domestic market, becoming a million seller." Resident Evil 6 shipped 3.7 million units by the end of September, and 4.5 million units for the first shipment as of October 4, 2012.

Additionally, the social game market remained strong under Capcom's strategic brand, Beeline. Resident Evil: Outbreak Survive has achieved more than two million registered members. Steady growth in sales of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City was also noted as a contributor.

Moving forward, Capcom's forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2013 remains the same. The company expects net sales of 105,000 million yen with a net income of 9,800 million yen. Capcom's upcoming release schedule includes DmC: Devil May Cry on January 15, 2013, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Wii U and 3DS in March 2013, and Lost Planet 3 in early 2013.
