The long-awaited, highly-anticipated second trailer for Rockstar Games' blockbuster title, Grand Theft Auto 5, was finally released today giving fans a new look at the game since the first trailer was released over a year ago. However, this time around, we have an idea for the characters shown off in this trailer.
Last week, thanks to an in-depth feature, we learned a ton of new gameplay details for GTA 5 - particularly about the game's three main protagonists. For those who are unaware, the three main characters — Michael, Trevor, and Franklin — will serve as playable characters in the game. Throughout the story, players will swap between the three of them, learning each backstory and utilizing their particular set of skills.
As expected, today's trailer for GTA 5 showed what was in the article. We were shown all three characters, a brief look at their life, and how the three of them will interact with each other. In between, the trailer touched on a few action sequences that we can come to expect in the game, as well as the extracurricular activities you can partake in.
Overall, the new Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer was very impressive. It showed exactly what we wanted to see: the character interaction, some story background, and a few action sequences and what you can expect in terms of gameplay and missions. Is it me, or did the whole thing seem like something you'd see from a movie trailer? I suppose it just goes to show how far we've come in terms of narration in video games.
