If the first thing you did this morning was wake up, drive your local game retailer, and pick up Dead Space 3 – you're doing it right. As you cut through Unitology jerks and savage Necromorphs, you can do so assured that the journey for Isaac isn’t over for their newest title.

Dead Space 3 Awakened has been announced today, and it's coming out in March. This DLC will be sold for $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points) and will be out for PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE, and PC / Origin.

Steve Papoutsis, Vice President and General Manager of Visceral Games and Executive Producer on Dead Space 3 stated:

"With Dead Space 3 our goal was to evolve the franchise bringing in innovative new features like drop-in/drop-out co-op, weapon crafting, and an engaging atmosphere while still retaining the incredible suspense, horror, action and sound that the series is known for. Gamers are going to be thrown in and out of space, taken to a violent new ice planet and allowed to explore several different abandoned spaceships and caves. But we're not stopping there. In Dead Space 3 Awakened, gamers will experience some of the most disturbing content they have ever seen in a Dead Space game — they are going to love it."

So there we have it. Whatever happens in Awakened it will be disturbing as f@#$. I mean, it’s not like in a Dead Space game would ever have a needle plunge into your eye. Right? Right...? RIGHT!?
